The Seattle Mariners blast past the Blue Jays

In last nights opener in the 3-game series against the Tronto Blue Jays, Felix Hernandez once again showed why he is the king. He gave up one homerun early on before go on an 8 strike out terror over his 7 innings of work and 13^th win of the season.

A pleasant surprise was that the showed the same amount of electricity to rack up 11 runs. The majority of those runs coming in the 6^th inning that saw the Mariners hit one homrun, two triples, three doubles and a single plus benefit from two walks. As the lightning storm became more intense so did the Mariners bats.

To try and keep the winning going the Mariners are sending Chris Young to the mound. His first opponent will be Jose Reyes as he steps into the batter's box and he walks. Melky Cabrera is the next man to the plate and he double as Reyes scores. That brings Jose Bautista to the plate and he flies out to Chris Denorfia as Bautista takes third. With one in, one on and one out Adam Lind comes to the plate and he strikes out. Dioner Navarro will try to keep the inning going as he pops up into foul territory where it is caught by Kyle Seager to end the top of the inning.
