After the meltdown in the second half of the game yesterday the Seattle Mariners are looking to bounce back to take the series from the Texas Rangers. The Mariners have called up Brandon Mauer is making his second start of the season to try and get the Mariners back on track. The Texas Rangers are countering with Matt Harrison, as he makes his first start of the season, to try and win the series.

He hopes that tonights game against the Texas Rangers will get him back to the winning way he saw at the beginning of the month. After a dismal road trip that saw the Seattle Mariners only win 1 of the 7 games they return to Safeco field. Hopes are high that with Felix Hernandez starting off the home stand against the Huston Astros. The Astro will oppose the king by sending Dallas Keuchel to the mound.

Fear no numbers by Jose Paul Moretto is a quick read that can be of benefit to both math students and teachers. Although the book is short, only 33 pages or 48 if you include the preface and introduction, you will find yourself going over and over the pages to gleam all the knowledge contained within.

While Mr. Moretto's book may not hold the cure to all math phobias, the information held within its pages will relieve many anxieties. The main focus, of this helpful book, are the two theorem known as the proof of 9 system and the maXima system that can be used to check the answer of any multiplication or division problem. Some of the other information that can be gleamed out of this magnificent book includes a magical property of 9 that was first discovered by the ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras.

The best thing Mr. Moretto does in his book is that after explaining these theorem he gives you problems so that you may apply what you have learned. By the time you do the practice problem you should easily use the maXima system to quickly check any multiplication or division answers.

I would recommend this book not only for those currently in school or teaching math but to everyone that uses math in their daily lives.

For almost a decade Felix Hernandez has proven that he is one of the most dominate pitchers in the majors. He has been in the top 5 in ERA quite often, become a fixture at the all-star game with appearing at 4 of the last 5, has a perfect game and a CyYoung award . Today he takes the mound to once again show why he refereed to as 'King' Felix as he opposes the Oakland Athletics for the second time this season after dominating them for 8.1 innings before giving up a homerun that became the only run the Athletics would get as the Seattle Mariners won 3-1.

Review: Creedor by Gail Morgan McRae

With wizards, an epidemic, a political coup and mysterious invaders Creedor by Gail Morgan McRae is a science fiction fantasy that has something for everyone. This first book in his reglon empire series start out with a bang, or more literally a pop, as we are introduced to Rax the subspace rider. From that start the book moves quickly as we meet the movers and shakers of the empire. Soon we get involved in a plot to seize control of the empire that involves murder, a struggle and unlawful imprisonment. Then the table is set as we are brought into the inter-workings of the new regime. With stage set we meet our man of destiny that will reluctantly play a big role in saving the empire. You will quickly be glue to the book as you follow Simon Slogar as he leaves the confines on his home further the accumulation of knowledge that will put him on the path to his destiny. Soon you will be on a roller-coaster ride as you travel with him on high and lows.

One thing that Mr. McRae does well in his book is that he gives story direction while still leaving you with that cliffhanging ending that makes you anticipate the next book in the series. Unfortunately, that is also the one bad thing is that it that the author is going in too many direction and tie-in can get lost that can turn off some readers.

While the format of the e-book version looked fine on my Kindle Fire it look much more professional when an reader app on my laptop.

Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of fiction, fantasy or just a good adventure.
