The Seattle Mariners lose for the first time this season

Tonight in Oakland the Seattle Mariners look to stay on the winning streak that is currently at three games after sweeping the Los Angeles of Anaheim Angels. In those first three games Justin Smoak is leading the Mariners with 7 RBIs, which is only one less than the entire Angels team and Robinson Cano has paid dividends with his team leading .600 on base percentage. Besides great hitting the Mariners have benefited from stellar pitching that has seen the starter only give up 6 runs and the bullpen 2 runs to the Angels.

The 1^st inning starts as Jesse Chavez takes the mound to face Abraham Almonte who reaches first on an error. Almonte takes second on a throwing error. Brad Miller flies out to Coco Crisp and Almonte moves to third. That brings up Robinson Cano who grounds out and picks up an RBI as Almonte comes home. Justin Smoak walks up to the plate and grounds out to Alberto Callaspo to end the top of the inning. Roenis Elias takes the mound and faces Coco Crisp who leadsoff for the Athletics and Crisp walks. Josh Donaldson is next up to the plate where he hits a ground ball to Kyle Seager who turns a double play. That brings up Jed Lowrie who walks.
