The Mariners even the series in Philadelphia

After a fantastic homestand that saw the Seattle Mariners jump back into the wild card race they have run into a road block that has them running in place. Luckily for them Detroit hasn't been fairing any better keeping the two teams in a dead heat as the co-leaders in the second wild card race. With the finish line of the race approach the Mariners will need to shift into the next gear. Stepping onto the mound today is, Hisashi Iwakuma, the person the Mariners hope can get them to that next gear. The Phillies will be sending A.J Burnett to the mound hoping to keep the Mariners stuck in neutral.
