The Mariners' offense misses the plane ride home

Over the weekend the Seattle Mariners wrapped up a successful road trip with a sweep of the Boston Red Sox. It was a wild series that saw the Mariners best pitchers struggle, plenty of errors and hit batters on both sides with a few spectacular plays sprinkled in. With that sweep they come home with a one game lead in the race for the second wild card.

Tonight the Mariners start a 3-game series against division rival Texas Rangers. The Rangers have seen some rough times this season becoming one of the worst teams in the American league. Despite their record though they always play though against the Mariners. For tonight's game the Mariners will be sending Roenis Elias to the mound to get the home-stand of on the right foot. The Rangers will be sending Miles Mikolas to the mound.
