Toronto blows out the Mariners to keep from getting swept

Going for a sweep of the Blue Jays the Seattle Mariners send Joe Saunders to the mound. Saunders has had an up and down season so far which doesn't fill the Mariners faithful with much confidence. The Toronto Blue Jays counter with a familiar face, Brandon Morrow, who we remember from his time with Seattle. When he was with Seattle, Morrow had his own battles with inconsistency that bounced him around between starter and reliever.
The 1st inning starts with Michael Saunders and he flies out. Kyle Seager steps into the batter's box and hits a double. Kendrys Morals is next and hits a fly ball for the second out of the inning. Michael Morse follows with a walk to give the Mariners two on base. Jason Bay steps up to the plate and grounds out to end the top of the inning. In the Blue Jays half of the inning Davis starts off with a double. Cabrera hit a sacrifice bunt to send Davis down to third base. Bautista hits a sacrifice fly to give the Blue Jays a run. Next it is up to Encarnacion to keep the inning going but he hits a fly ball to end the Blue Jay threat.
The 2nd starts with Justin Smoak hitting a fly ball for the first out. Dustin Ackly follows and strikes out. Jesus Montero steps in to try nd get something going but he strikes out. In the bottom of the inning Arencibia starts off with a single. DeRosa is next and gets a double landing Joe Saunders in some hot water. Izturis follows with a single to score Arencibia. Bonifacio then comes up a hits into a fielder's choice. Bonifacio then steals second. Kawasaki grounds out and gets an RBI as DeRosa scores. It is back to the top of the order for Davis who grounds out. The 2nd ends with the Blue Jays leading 3-0.
The top of the 3rd starts off with Robert Andino strepping to the plate and he lines out. Back to the top of the order Michael Saunders flies out. Kyle Seager is next and he grounds out to end the Mariners half of the inning. The Blue Jays come up for the bottom of the inning with Cabrera flying out. Bautista follows with a single and steals second. Encarnacion flies out. Arencibia steps in next nd flies out to end the 3rd.
In the top of the 4th Kendrys Morales starts off with a strike out. Michael Morse follows up with a ground out. Jason Bay steps in and grounds out to end the top of the inning. In the Blue Jay half of the inning DeRosa lines out. Izturis comes in and hits a single. Bonifacio follows with a fielder's choice. Kawasaki is next and walks giving the Blue Jays two on base. Bonifacio steals third and Kawasaki follows by stealing second. Davis flies out to end the 4th.
The 5th starts with Justin Smoak walking. Dustin Ackly follows with a walk. Jesus Montero is next and hits a single to load the bases. Robert Andino grounds out as Justin Smoak scores. Michael Saunders walks to load the bases for the second time. Kyle Seager follows with a sacrifice fly to bring Dustin Ackly in from third. Kendrys Morales then walks to load them up one more time. Michael Morse flies out to end the top of the 5th. The bottom of the inning sees Cabrera start off with a home run. Bautista steps in next and walks. Encarnacion hits a fly ball for the first out. Arencibia follows with a single. With two on DeRosa hits a home run. Izturis and Bonifacio both ground out to end the 5th. Blue Jays lead 7-2.
The 6th starts off with Jason Bay striking out. Justin Smoak follows up with a ground ball. Dustin Ackly lines out to end the Mariners half of the inning. In the bottom of the inning Kawasaki hits a single. Davis pops up to third base for the first out. Cabrera follows up with a single. Bautista is then Intentionally walked to load the bases. Encarnacion follows with a fielder's choice to bring in Kawasaki. Arencibia lines out to end the 6th. The Blue Jays increase their lead to 8-2.
The 7th starts with Jesus Montero hitting a line drive out. Robert Andino is next and strikes out. Back to the top of the order for Michael Saunders and he strikes out. In the Blue Jays half of the inning DeRosa starts of with a double. Izturis steps in and hits a single. With two on Bonifacio steps up to the plate and strikes out. Kawasaki then comes up and hits a single to score DeRosa. Davis lines out for out number two. Cabrera steps up next and hits a single to score Izturis. Bautista flies out to end the 7th.
Kyle Seager starts out the 8th with a strike out. Kendrys Morales follows up with a double. Michael Morse is next and grounds out. Jason Bay steps up and strikes out. In the Blue Jays half Encarnacion starts of with a walk. Arencibia follows up with a line out. DeRosa hits into a double play to end the 8th.
The 9th starts out with Justin Smoak striking out. Dustin Ackly grounds out. Jesus Montero steps in for the last chance for the Mariners and he strikes out to end the game.
The Toronto Blue Jays win 10-2. The Seattle Mariners don't get the sweep but still win the series.
