The king rules in Toronto starting the Mariners road trip

After a 5-2 home-stand the Seattle Mariners are in hopes of keeping their winning ways going as they travel north of the border to take on the Toronto Bluejays. They have the right man taking the mound as Felix Hernandez gets set to take on the pitching duties. The Bluejays counter with their ace pitcher Ricky Romero giving us what is set to be a duel between the two pitchers.
The first inning starts with the Mariners at bat. Michael Saunders is up first and hits a ground ball to second. Kyle Seager gets a single on a ball hit in center field. Kendrys Morales hits a ground ball to the short stop as the Bluejays turn a double play to end the top of the inning. In the Bluejays half of the inning Felix gets three straight ground balls to make quick work of the Toronto team.
In the 2nd inning Michael Morse and Jason Bay are both strike out victims giving the Mariners two quick outs. Justin Smoak steps in and hits a fly ball to center for the third out. In the bottom of the 2nd inning Felix again gets the Bluejays in order.
The 3rd inning starts off with Dustin Ackly stepping into the batter's box and hits a ground ball to second. Jesus Montero is next up and hits a ground ball to the short stop. Brendan Ryan takes his turn and strikes out to end the top of the inning. In the Bluejays half of the inning Felix strikes out the first two batters. He then gives up a single giving the Bluejays their first base runner. Kawasaki then stole second to give the Bluejays a man in scoring position. Felix strikes out the next batter to erase any threat the Toronto team must have planned for the inning.
In the top of the 4th Michael Sounders leadsoff for the Mariners and walks to first. Kyle Seager is up next and hits a home run giving the Mariners a 2-0 lead. Kendrys Morales is hit by a pitch giving the Mariners another man on. Michael Morse strikes out for the first out of the inning. Jason Bay and Justin Smoak both walk to load the bases. Dustin Ackly gets a single to score Morales. With the bases still loaded Jesus Montero steps in and hits into a fielder's choice as Jason Bay is thrown out at home. Brendan Ryan then hits a pop up to second base to end the inning. In the bottom of the 4th Filex gets the Bluejays in order despite a leadoff single.
In the top of the 5th Michael Saunders strikes out. Kyle Seager follows up with a single but is thrown out trying to steal second base. Kendrys Morales then strikes out to end the top of the inning. In the bottom of the inning Felix gets two strike outs with a ground ball sandwiched in the middle as the Bluejays going in order.
In the top of the 6th Michael Morse starts things off with a strike out. Jason Bay then hits a home run to extend the lead to 4-0. Justin Smoak and Dustin Ackly both single. With two on and one out Jesus Montero flies out to center. Brendan Ryan hits into a fielder's choice. In the bottom of the inning Felix gets the first two batters to ground out. The next batter hits a ball to Brendan Ryan. It looks like another 1-2-3 inning but Brendan Ryan bobbles the ball for his third error. The next batter ground out to end the 6th.
Michael Saunders starts off the 7th and strikes out. Kyle Seager then hits a ground ball for the second out. The Kendrys Morales flies out to end the top of the inning. In the bottom of the inning the Bluejays go in order despite a leadoff single.
The 8th starts off well as Michael Morse gets a single. Jason Bay hits into a double play erasing the runner. Justin Smoak hits a fly ball to end the inning. In the bottom of the 8th the first two batters get on base. A double play and a ground ball keep the shutout going for Felix.
In the top of the 9ththe Mariners go in order as Dustin Ackly, Jesus Montero and Brendan Ryan all fly out. In the bottom of the inning Tom Wilhelmsen replaces Felix Hernandez. Mr. Wilhelmsen gets two quick out before giving up a walk. The next batter strikes out giving the Mariner a 4-0 win to start off their road trip.
