Once again Felix Hernandez shows why he is the king

The entire King's court were on their feet cheering strike and hoisting their “k” cards as they root for the player they all came to see. Then the traditional turkey leg as handed out as the game is about to get under way. The designated fan in the King's court take the first bite as a hush comes over Safeco field. Felix Hernandez takes the mound giving hope to fans that we wouldn't see a repeat of yesterday's loss.
The 1st inning gets under way with Felix striking out Peter Bourjus. Mike Trout steps into the batter's box and hits a double. Felix comes right back and gets the next to batters to hit ground balls to end the inning unscathed. In the Seattle Mariners half of the inning Endy Chavez gets a leadoff single. He advances on a wild pitch before Dustin Ackly walks. With 2 runners on and no outs it looks as though we could get an early lead. Just like yesterday the next three batters go out leaving the 2 runners on base.
In the top of the 2nd Felix gives up a single but then gets a double play to erase the runner. Now with 2 out and no one base Felix strikes out the next batter. In the Mariners half of the inning Rual Ibanez hits a single once again giving hope. Unfortunately just like the previous inning three straight outs killed what might have been.
The top of the 3rd starts out bad as Felix gives up a home run to Iannetta. With one out Peter Bourjus hits a single. Jesus Montero attempts to throw Bourjus out as he steals 2nd but the throws is wide letting Bourjus take 3rd base. Mike Trout gets a sacrifice fly to bring Bourjus in to give the Angles a 2-0 lead. Albert Pujols hits a fly ball to end the inning. In the bottom of the inning the Mariners get a one out single by Dustin Ackly but he is again left on base.
In the 4th the Angels threaten to score again when with one out Felix gives up his first walk. A single give the Angels runners at 1st and 3rd. The next batter tries to bunt the runner in but Felix hustles in to pick up the ball and toss it to Montero to get the runner out at home. The next batter lines out to right to end the inning. The bottom of the 4th sees Justin Smoak strike out. Raul Ibanez follows up with a fly ball to make it two outs. Jesus Montero hits a single but Peguero grounds out to end the inning.
In the top of the 5th inning Felix gets the Angels out in order. In the Mariners half of the inning Brendan Ryan starts it off with a walk. Endy Chavez hits a single to give us 2 on and no outs. Dustin Ackly then hits into a fielder choice giving us one out with still 2 on. Kyle Seager is up next and walks to load the bases. Mike Morse steps up and strikes out leaving it up to Smoak. Justin Smoak steps up and hits a ground ball to end the Mariners best threat yet.
In the top of the 6th once again Felix gets the Angels in order. In the Mariners half of the inning Raul Ibanez leads off with a walk. Jesus Montero hits a home run to tie the game at 2 runs each. The Mariners get another single by Carlos Peguero. Peguero steals 2nd base only to remain there as the inning ends.
In the top of the 7th Felix again gets the Angels out in order. In the Mariners half of the inning Kyle Seager gets a single. Mike Morse follows that up with a single to give the Mariners 2 runners on base. One out later Kendrys Morales comes in to pinch hit for Raul Ibanez and hits a single to sore Kyle Seager. That is all the Mariners get as they take a 3-2 lead.
In the top of the 8th Felix gets the Angels in order for the 4th inning in a row. The Mariners go in order in the bottom of the 8th. The top of the 9th sees Tom Wilhelmsen come in to get another save. He gives up a one out single to Josh Hamilton but that is all the Angels get as “The Bartender” gets his 7th save.
