The Seattle Mariners even the series against the Rays

The game between the Seattle Mariner and the Tampa Bay Rays was delayed, for 20 minutes, while they held a memorial service for Don Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer was either a player or coach for 66 years. Both teams dressed in Brooklyn Dodger uniforms as friends, family, former player and coaches gave a spectacular tribute to one of the greats of the game. After the tribute died down Mr. Zimmer's granddaughter took to the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

As the second game of the four game series between the Seattle Mariners and the Tampa Bay Rays get ready to begin Alex Cobb walks onto the pitcher's mound for the Rays. Endy Chavez will step up to the plate to start the 1^st inning with a double. James Jones will be the next man to the plate and he strikes out.
