Their strategy doesn't work too well and all the parents can do is try to keep the stories to a minimum. They release just enough to try and keep us satisfied without making their child's life a private. In late 2012 British singer/songwriter Adele became a mother. On Oct. 19 of that year she gave birth to her son Angelo.

Earlier that year Adele and her beau Simon Keneci had announced that she was pregnant. The announcement though was overshadowed by all the talk about Adele doing the theme for the upcoming James Bond movie “Skyfall”.

Melanie Chisholm

In the early 1990's Melanie Chisholm was know to us as Sporty Spice of the girl group the Spice girls. Since the break up of the group the singer/songwriter/actress has stayed in the spotlight by appear in plays, such as, “Blood Brothers” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”; albums, such as, “Northern Star” and “Reason” along with her web series “Ask Melanie”. In 2006 she gave birth to her daughter Scarlet and manages to her out of public eye for the most part.

Alicia Keys

In Oct 2010 singer Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz announced the birth of their son Egypt Daoud Dean. Earlier this year Alicia did show off one of her sons talents when she released a video of him playing the piano.

Celine Dion

Celine Dion is the mother of three children. Her and her husband do a good job of keeping family life out of the spotlight.

Jennifer Lopez

In February of 2008 Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins Maximilian David and Emme Maribel. Since the birth, the twins have made a couple of public appearances with their mothers but for the most part she has keep them out of public view.

X-47B makes more history

The United States Navy's Northrup Grumman-built X-47B carrier-based drone once again made history this week when it completed an aerial refueling. During a test flight off of the Maryland coastline the X-47B drone was linked up to a K-707 Omega Sir Refueling Tanker as it delivered more than 4.000 ponds of aviation fuel.

"What we accomplished today demonstrates a significant, groundbreaking step forward for the Navy," Capt. Beau Duarte, the manager for the Navy's Unmanned Carrier Aviation program, said in the release. "The ability to autonomously transfer and receive fuel in flight will increase the range and flexibility of future unmanned aircraft platforms, ultimately extending carrier power projection."

The X-47B started making history when the stealth drone made its first flight over Edward Air Force Base in California back on February 4, 2011. The flight lasted for 29 minutes. Where it climbed to 5,000 feet and demonstrated the maneuverability of the tailless design. Once the flight end the drone was loaded up for its cross-country trek where it would start the next phase of testing on Aircraft carriers.

The drone next made history in Dec 2012 when it made a taxiing run on the Aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman. Crew members used arm-mounted display controls to guide the drone on the historic run on the flight deck of the Aircraft carrier.

The drone once again made history when it was launched from the deck of USS George H W Bush on May 14, 2013. Over the 65 minutes the drone demonstrated some pre-programmed maneuvers doing several fly-by's of the carrier. With some remote assist they also preform touch-and-go landings where the drone would come in for a landing, roll down the runway and then immediately take-off again. Over the next several months the drone went through more testing of its abilities to take off and land on Aircraft carriers.

The Navy still has more testing planned for the drone before putting in service by 2020.

The Astros take game one against the Mariners

With two straight wins over the Texas Rangers the Mariners seem to finally be getting back on the winning track. Much of that can be contributed to Nelson Cruz with his hot hitting of lately that has been sparking the offense. Mr. Cruz got off to a slow start with only a couple of hits in the first series for the Mariners. Since that time he has gone on a terror that has him batting .354 with 8 homeruns in 12 games. Some of the other players that seem to be starting to heat up are Kyle Seager, Robinson Cano and Mike Zunino.

The biggest downside for the Mariners so far has been their pitching. It has been an strange sight since the core of the pitching staff is still intact and have been the strength of the team the last few years. Of those pitchers one of the biggest disappointments so far has been tonight's starter Hisashi Iwakuma with an ERA of over 6. Tonight the Mariners are hoping he will finally bounce back to be one of baseballs top pitchers again.

The Mariners take two in a row from the Rangers

Coming into this season James Paxton had been 5-0 in games pitched at Safeco Field. So far this year has not gone well for him as he lost the first game he pitched this year during the opening home stand. This got even worse on the road when he didn't last long in his second start. He looked to bounce back in third start during the recent homestand but he only lasted 2 2/3 innings after giving up 7 runs in the 3^rd inning.

The 1^st inning showed promise as James Paxton enticed Leonys Martin to hit a fly ball to Nelson Cruz for the first out. Elvis Andrus went quiet as he grounded out to Robinson Cano. The Dodgers win a heartbreaker

Coming off a disappointing lose the Seattle Mariners look to bounce back against the Los Angeles Dodgers. To get the win they are sending one of their best pitchers, Hisashi Iwakuma, to the mound. Iwakuma will have to out-duel David Huff to get the win.

In the 1^st inning the Seattle Mariners once again show their new power by quickly getting three runs on a 2-run homer by Robinson Cano and a solo homer by Nelson Cruz. In the bottom half of the inning Hisashi Iwakuma gets into trouble as he loads the bases. A strikeout of A. Ether gets him out of the inning without giving up a run. 3-0 Mariners.

The 2^nd goes quick as Willie Bloomquist is the only one to reach base for either team.

Despite the Dodgers intentionally walking Nelson Cruz and Kyle Seager getting a hit the Mariners don't get anyone home in the 3^rd inning. In the bottom of the 3^rd the Dodger finally get on the board with a run off of two doubles. 3-1 Mariners

In the 4^th inning the Mariners get back the run they gave up when Willie Bloomquist is hit-by-a-pitch, Hisashi Iwakuma has a sacrifice bunt and Rickie Weeks hits an RBI single. In the bottom of the inning the Dodgers once again close the gap with a 2-run homer. 4-3 Mariners.

The Mariner add another run in the top of the 5^th when new Dodger pitcher Juan Nicasio walks the bases loaded and Willie Bloomquist grounds out to bring Nelson Cruz home. In the bottom of the

5^th Hisashi Iwakuma gives up a walk but that is all the Dodgers get. 5-3 Mariners.

Robinson Cano doubles in the top of the 6^th inning before Nelson Cruz strikes out to end the inning. In the bottom of the 6^th Hisashi Iwakuma gives up a homer before being replaced by Carson Smith. Smith commits an error but gets out without and more damage in the inning. 5-4 Mariners.

The Mariners get to singles in the7th inning but no runs. In the bottom of the 7^th inning Charlie Furbush gives up two singles but a double play gets him out of the inning.

The Mariners go in order in the top of the 8^th inning. The Dodgers return the favor by going in order.

In the top of the 9^th the Mariners again go in order. Fernando Rodney comes in to pitch the bottom of the 9^th to try to preserve a one run lead. Justin Turner starts off with a single. Jimmy Rollins single as Turner goes to third. Carl Crawford hits a ground ball to Kyle Seager and they get turner out in a run down for the first out. Adrian Gonzalez walks to load the bases. Howie Kendrick singles to drive in 2 runs to win the game. 6-5 Dodgers.

The Dodgers take the first game

Other than the opener they won behind Felix Hernandez wins have not been easy to come by for the Seattle Mariners. Poor fielding and bad pitching contributed to three loses in a row. They did win the final two games against the Athletics but even those were not easy as they just squeaked by both time. Tonight they take that 3-3 record down to Dodger Stadium where despite a power surge getting and keeping a lead proves though for them.

The 1^st stared out well enough when the Seattle Mariners took an early lead as Nelson Cruz had a homerun with Robinson Cano on base to make it 2-0. In the bottom half of the inning James Paxton made quick work of the Dodgers.

The 2^nd & 3^rd innings went quick as neither side scored In the top of the 4^th the Mariners once again showed some power as both Nelson Cruz & Kyle Seager hit back-to-back homers. In the bottom of the 4^th James Paxton ran into troube as he loaded the bases. A sacrifice fly and a single gave the Dodgers 3 runs to make it a 1 run game.

The 5^th inning looked good as the Mariners increased their lead when dustin Ackley blasted a two out homerun. The Dodgers answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning to tie the game.

The 6^th & 7^th went by fairly quiet with no scoring on either side. The top of 8^th saw the Mariners go quiet as they did not score. Dominic Leone comes in o pitch the bottom of the 8^th inning and gets the dodgers in order to keep the game tied at 5.

Both sides go in order in the 9^th to take the game to extra frames. For the Mariners this will be their third straight extra inning game.

Yimi Garcia takes over as pitcher for the Dodgers in the 10^th inning. He gets the Mariners out in order. Dominic Leone starts the 10^th but only goes 1/3^rd of an inning before loading the bases. Tyler Olson comes in and strikes out the first batter he faces. He gives up a bases hit and the Dodgers win by a score of 6-5.

The Seattle Mariners win the series in Oakland

Felix Hernandez gets set to pitch the tie breaker in the series against the Oakland Athletcs. The Mariners suffered a big defeat in the first game. They came back to win in overtime. With the king pitching it looks good for the Mariners but he will need to out-duel Jesse Hahn.

The Angels win the opening series against the Mariners

With the series tied at one game a piece the Seattle Mariners are in hopes of winning their first series of the season. To try and accomplish that feat they are sending Hisashi Iwakuma ro the mound. He will be dueling against Matt Shoemaker for the Angels.

As the game gets underway Kole Calhoun steps into the batter's box and he flies out to Austin Jackson. Mike Trout is the next man to the plate and he singles. That brings Albert Pujols to the plate and he hits a 2-run homer. With the bases cleared and one out Matt Joyce comes to the plate and he gets an infield single. David Freese steps up to the dish and he doubles. With two on, two in and one out Erick Aybar will step to the plate and Robinson Cano commits a 2-run error and Aybar is tagged out trying to go to second. Chris Ianetta steps to the plate and strikes out to end the top of the inning. Austin Jackson will start the bottom half of the inning with a strike out. Dustin Ackley is the next man to the plate and he flies out to Kole Calhoun. That brings Robinson Cano to the plate and he strikes out to end the 1^st. 4-0 Angels.

Efren Navero will start the 2^nd with a doubles. Johnny Giavotello is the next man to the plate and he singles. The Angels win to even the series

James Paxton will take the mound to start the second game for the seattle Mariners. Mr. Paxton is in his third year with the big team. The last two years he has been limited to just 17 games going 9-4 with a 2.86 ERA. He has never lost at Safeco giving hope for a second straight win. To get that win though he will have to out pitch Angels pitcher C.J.Wilson.

Felix wins for opening day

It is finally opening day of baseball season an the Seattle Mariners get set to play. For the 8^th time King Felix will be the opening day pitcher. In the previous 5 opening day starts Felix is undefeated and hopefully he will keep that streak going. Once again Jarrod Weaver will be the oppose pitcher of the Angels.

Former second baseman Joey Cora will throw out the first pitch to kick off the game. Joey only play a couple of seasons for the Mariners but he will be long remembered for his gutsy playing, his flag pins that created controversy and when he had to go in as a backup catcher.

Kole Calhoun steps up to the plate to start the game and he strikes out. Mike Trout is the next man to the plate and he hits a home run. That brings Albert Pujols to the dish and he strikes out. Matt Joyce will try to keep the inning going as he strikes out to end the top of the 1^st. Austin Jackson will start the bottom of the inning with a ground ball to Erick Aybar for the first out. Microsoft takes your smartphone back to 1981

If you are the average mobile user chances are you never experienced the early days of the PC when they ran MS-DOS. You missed out on those days of giant pixels, just one font that only came in white and print on either a black or green background. The days of no harddrive and a 5 ¼ inch floppy disk with 360 KB of storage. To access the programs (not apps) on our computers we would type a command at the screen prompt. Does that sound like something you would like to experience? If it does then Microsoft has an app for that.

Just in time for April Fool's Day the Kirkland-based giant is rolling out an app that will turn your Windows-based smartphone into a DOS-based smartphone. You will have the experience of using textline commands and seeing everything in black & white. The one part of the old DOS days it doesn't bring back is that old floppy disk for storage.

Before you rush out to download this app on your smartphone there are a few commands you should know. To navigate through the different directories you will need to use CD (change directory) followed by the directory name. To see what programs are in a directory you type DIR. If the program you want to access is list then you start it by typing the name of the program, such as, camera to start the camera.exe program.

The app does require that you have either Windows 8 or 8.1 and a minimum of 7MB of storage space on your smartphone. If your smartphone meets those requirements than you can download this free app and pretend you are back in the 1980's. Before you get the app you might like to watch this video. Your friends will probably scratch their heads when they see you typing and wonder why you are send text messages to yourself.
