The Seattle Mariners take the first game from the Royals

After having great success on their road trip where they posted a 7-2 record, the Seattle Mariners return to the friendly confines of Safeco field. To hopeful start things off on the right foot the Mariners are sending Hisashi Iwacoma to the mound for his second start of the season. Opposing him will be Danny Duffy for the Kansas City Royals.

The 1t inning starts as Norichika Aoki steps to the plate and he flies out to Cole Gillespie. Erik Hosmer is up next and he singles.
