The Seattle Mariners power their way past the Rays

No team wants to lose a game but it is even worse when that lose involves 5 errors and a number of bad ball and strike calls. That is just what happened to the Seattle Mariners last night in a 9-7 loss to the Kansas City Royals. Tonight as the Mariners open a series against the Tampa Bay Rays they are hoping to show that the poor fielding, that were responsible for most of the Royals' runs, was just as anomaly. To aid in their bouncing back from that devastating lose the Mariners will be sending 'king' Felix, who is out for some redemption of his own, to the mound. The Tampa Bay Rays will be sending Cesar Ramos to the mound to try and keep the Mariners from getting that redemption.

David Dejesus will start off the 1^st inning with a fly ball to Stephen Romero for an out. Ben Zobrist is the next man to the plate and he pops up to Brad Miller. That brings Matt Joyce to the plate and he strikes out to end the top of the inning. James Jones will start the home half of the inning with a double.
