A close shave but still a win

What a finish to the Mariner game tonight. It was looking pretty bad early on for our rookie pitcher Micheal Pinenada. The offense would tie the game or give us a slight lead but then the Blue Jays would come right back and get a run or two off Pinenada. It was not his night giving up more homers than he ever has before and ending up having one his shorter outings.

The bullpin pitchers did a great job of keeping the Blue Jays from scoring. The offense though seemed to o into a mini slump for a few innings and not scoring keeping the score at 5-4 Blue Jays until the eighth. Then Mike Carp came through in the bottom of the eighth and hit his second homer of the game. Not to be out done Carlos Well showed that he can hit them just as well and gave us a one run lead. Then in the op of the ninth out comes mister save Brandon League and he didn't disappoint as he was able to keep the Jays at just one hit and earning his 30th save of the season.
