Since
the Fall of 2012 we just haven't been able to get enough of Tader
Sauce aka “Grumpy Cat”. We fill up our Facebook feeds with her
Internet
memes, buy her t-shirts and other products and share her videos.
Maybe it is that permanent scowl or that her memes say many of the
things we would like to say. Whichever the reason we had a lovefest
with the little dwarf cat. We fill up our Facebook feeds with her
Internet memes, buy her t-shirts and other products and share her
videos.
Soon
we will have one more way to get our fix of the lovable curmudgeon.
This Fall Dynamite
Entertainment will begin running both a comic strip and cookbook
of “Grumpy Cat” and her older brother Pokey. The comic that will
be called “The misadventures of Grumpy Cat and Pokey” will be
available as an online comic, a comicbook to be sold in specialty
markets and as a graphic novel that will be sold at several
bookstores.
"One
of the most important responsibilities for today's comic publishers
is creating content that will attract fresh new audiences to
experience the wonders of the medium, and Grumpy Cat is the perfect
combination of unbearable cuteness, instant fan appeal, and
established multimedia presence to make just such a thing happen,"
Keith Davidsen, marketing manager of Dynamite Entertainment, said in
a statement.
Outside
of her Internet fame “Grumpy Cat” has become a television and
movie diva. She has made appearances on Today, Good Morning America,
the CBS Evening news, VH1's Big Morning Buzz, Anderson live, American
Idol, the Bachelorette, The Soup and WWE's Monday Night Raw. She also
made a Honeynut Cheerios commercial where the animated bee tries to
talk her into liking the cereal.
